Brief Description :

• According to some parts of HM King Bhumibol royal speech given on 4 December 1995 at Dusidalai Hall, Chitralada Villa Royal Residence, "…Khwae Noi and other rivers flow here…, the construction of dams must be carried out to store discharge from Chat Trakan district. Some might object and doubt the benefits of those dams, however, it is obviously clear that if these dams are not constructed, flood may harm not only this part... but the whole area..." The dam
  construction project was carried out to mitigate flood disaster especially in Lower Khwae Noi basin area of 75,000 rai in Wat Bot, Mueang, Wang Thong and Bang Krathum districts, Phitsanulok Province

• It is the water resources supporting irrigation area of 155,000 rai on the left and the right sides of the Khwae Noi River and agricultural area of 250,000 rai 

  of Chao Phraya irrigation project in the dry season

• It supports consumption weter of 47.3 MCM/year

•  

  To support career relating to products from fish from the reservoir and
  both sides of the Khwae Noi River

•  

  It is considered as tourist and recreation site of people in Phitsanulok province
  and nearby area
